Probably ditching this goddamn blog.

I'm tempted to close this blog and move to LJ. Seriously. Most of my Internet friends are there.

Changing email addresses is a major, major pain in the ass here. It just fucking refuses to accept my Gmail addy ...

Mumbai terror attacks - post continued

Also, I'd like to offer my deepest condolences for the families of those who lost their lives.

I agree with Aamir Khan when he says that terror has no religion. Tell me, do bullets and discriminite between people of different religions? I'm sure everyone -regardless of their beliefs - is worried, shocked, scared and angered by this audacious attack.

I feel sorry in particular for baby Moshe's plight - only two years old, he's lost his parents to the terrorists' bullets at Nariman House and he is unaware about it.

Terrorism and its perpetrators must be dealt with an iron hand. We do NOT need another attack to be described as India's 9/11.

To echo NDTV, Enough is enough. The goverment had better get its act together.

And as for Mr R R Patil, I think he should resign. Terror attacks are not "just another small thing"!

Mumbai Terror Attacks

Just thinking about them sends a chill down my spine. I am following the news on various channels even now. "Horrible" is not sufficient to describe them. This is the worst terror attack I've ever seen.

I salute the officers who laid down their lives for the country and the commandos who rescued many of those trapped.

I hope the politicians wake up from their deep slumber and improve overall security, and not dismiss this as a, and I quote, "small incident". This indifference and insensitivity disgusts common people!

The latest Naruto and fanfiction

I started work on a crazy DBZ Sue parody today. Hehe ... it's great fun! XDD

Moving on ...

I hope Kakashi doesn't die; I think it's too early for him to hit the bucket. He's got to become the sixth Hokage, you know. 8D

And besides, we need to see his face. I'll be on top of the world then! XDDD

My blog's back in action

I guess this semester made me forget about my blog for quite a while ... Eh.

Yesterday, I shopped at a fair. The food wasn't good (one of my friends, S-, should've chosen a better stall!) but I did manage to buy some good stuff: three pairs of earrings and a pair of bangles. There were no toilets to be seen, that and all the walking I had to do left me dog-tired at the end of the day.

It's Sunday night now, and I'd better head to bed if I don't want to wake up late tomorrow.

But before that ... another post.

Meeting an old, old friend

An old school friend dropped by today. We had a super-long chat about nearly everything under the sun: from college life to a tiny bit about politics.

I have rediscovered a kindred spirit. 'Nuff said!

College Today: A Dud of a Seminar

I saw my results yesterday. 'Twas too close to fail for comfort.

I attended a symposium organised by our department today, and man was it an amazing failure in my opinion. The guests had to be accommodated in the main seminar hall, which meant that we host students had to go to an adjoining room and view the seminar via video-conference. All fine in theory.

But ... there was only video and no audio, which means everyone who were in the adjoining room (including yours truly) quickly lost all interest and were just keen for the lunch. I don't blame the technical guys, though, they did try their best. It didn't work.

My friends and I were busy posing for and taking photographs to kill time before lunch. :P We also shared some files via Bluetooth and some others were playing mp3s (or the FM Radio) full-blast from their mobiles even when teachers were around.

I now have the song Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi from Jaane Tu ... Ya Jaane Na in my little collection of MP3s. *listens*

Birthdays and Anxiety

It's my birthday tomorrow, and I'm anxious. Not about the gifts I will get or the lack thereof, but of my semester results. They'll come out in a day or two ...

College Gossip: Bitching and Giggling

What an interesting day ... Only if all days at college were so interesting ... and I'm not talking about lessons. :D

It all started when I talked to A- a little more enthusiastically than usual. His girlfriend got pretty bitchy about it and started nagging him in class and forcing him to whisper some messages to my bench. (He was sitting behind me.) "A-, tell her to mind her own business, etc, etc" - you can imagine the rest. Psht. She's insecure.

Funnily enough, I'm least interested in having a boyfriend. And, what's even more amusing? A- and this girl don't even appear to be serious. Apparently, he's got another GF in his home state.

My other friends did ask me to give it back to her, but I ignored them.

Another couple of girls giggled at me in the canteen today, according to a friend. I'm not fussed about that either: I've been teased my whole life; most of it doesn't affect me anymore.

I have something to say about today's online events, but that will be in another post.

Gravity Room Troubles is up now

Exactly as the title says. I almost forgot about my B/V fic. LOL.

College

It started today. Meeting RL friends was awesome; a friend, S-, distributed portions of a gigantic Cadbury's chocolate bar to celebrate the class's "reunion."

My other friends and I (four of us) talked and roamed around the campus after morning classes. We helped a friend (in the group) to set up a couple of e-mail accounts. The college's internet connection was slow, but things sorted themselves out after a while.

We have also decided to start the ground work for our final semester's project; a senior faculty member will help us out. We'll get to know what we can work on next week.

Not all of my friends are back, but they're expected on Monday. I'm waiting for a certain A-, a bright classmate who's the guy who introduced me to Naruto. :)

A Bulma/Vegeta story and going back to college

Well ...

I wrote a 600+ words B/V story yesterday for Ro's latest challenge and it's now with my beta Mellie. I can hardly wait to publish it.

Also, college's reopening tomorrow. Am looking forward to it.

Holidays, the Naruto manga and a new friend

Well, they're not that good this time. All thanks to my computer that doesn't allow me to play games.

On the bright side ... I made a new MSN friend yesterday thanks to Ike. Ken, if you're reading this ... you're a great conversationalist, a good distraction and a funny nerd. :D

Plus, I started reading a scanlation of the Naruto manga! Man is it awesome. I love Kishimoto's Ino and Sakura cover to the left, the - it kicks ass!

Sakura and Ino with katanas: it's so epic!! Sakura's face looks very, very good in this one. I guess she's in her late teens or something. Definitely better-looking than Ino, and I couldn't care less about her forehead. :)

Though she could reduce her Sasuke fangirling. However, each character must have their flaws; I'll give Kishimoto some credit for drawing and developing his characters well.

As of now, it's 9:08 PM. Naruto's airing on CN India at the moment and DBZ's right after Naruto. Well, what am I doing here - it's time to sign off!

My computer is abysmal ...

... and I almost wish I could chuck it and buy a brand new one. I might have to call someone to get it serviced.

Why did it have to be so shitty? Especially the DVD-ROM and its associated drivers!!!!!!!!

First off, the so-called "DVD-ROM" doesn't even play DVDs. And now the associated software to fuck-up, so that it doesn't even run CDs!! The final blow? I ran three - three different virus scans for a total of six bloody times, and errors showed up. Yet, the bloody driver wasn't corrected!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I seriously hope I won't have to repeat Tiberian Sun again! SERIOUSLY!!!

I don't know why three virus scans have to screw up. And to think they're the best in their business ... man, I hate my incompetent desktop!! I wish I could chuck it and buy a new laptop, but we don't have that kind of money!!

Will I ever play the C&C games!?!?!?

The Common Cold

*sigh*

I have a cold, and my throat hurts. It's not too bad, but I'm sick of my stupidly incompetent immune system. Chicken pox is *supposed* to improve one's immunity ... it hasn't improved mine, of course. Drat. Or is it just my mom and her superstitions, and am I giving a shit about her advice?

In better news, my cousin had a super-grand wedding on Sunday, and an aunt of mine has just become a mom. Well, I can hardly wait for Tuesday evening - there won't be any frigging exams to worry about!

Exams and Weddings

Well ... my exam "saga" isn't over, not yet. I have a big one tomorrow, and a tough one ten days after that. I'm not worried about the tough one because I have lots of time. But the big one has truckloads of calculations.

On the really, really bright side - a cousin of mine is getting married this Sunday, so I have a lot to look forward to. ^^

Computer Troubles

Any Fireplacian who knows me reasonably well will know about this.

In January, I got the entire Command and Conquer videogame series for 999 bucks only, in what I'd describe as the bestest deal ever, even though my dad disagrees to this day.

The problem is; my computer does not have a *working* DVD player, and I need a video card. I can't get these stuff until my exams are over.

I've been waiting for six friggin' months - one whole fucking semester, dammit!! I can hardly wait for July 5 - no more exams.

But, that's a long way to go. I have my second lab exam on the 17th, and I'm still scared of the viva. Yeah.

*sigh* Anyhow, I need to add a few links. Will do that now.

Edit: Why should you screw up so often, Blogger?

Experimentation

I'm playing around with this baby at the moment - changing layouts and stuff. This site is neat - much easier to use than LJ. I abandoned an ancient blog of mine on that site because I couldn't get the hang of it at all.

In other news; there's one other person on this site who's interested in F/R and his lovely forums. It's Tersa. XDDD

Now, I think I should link my FFN profile and add some more interests ...

Blogging is so much fun ... XDD

Lab Exam

Today's lab exam went off pretty well - most of it, anyway.

The minor experiment went off without too many hitches. Unfortunately, my hands were shaking when the examiner was watching me. Yeah, I get nervous at absolutely weird times ... o_O

As for the major experiment, it was acceptable.

Just before the exam, my classmates who'd taken it before me had warned me about the viva-voce. They called it "screwy", which made me give up about scoring well in that section.

In the end, it wasn't that bad. Half of the questions were tough and seemingly out of nowhere. At least I could answer the remaining questions. Phew, that was a relief!

One more lab examination to go ... and I heard from our teacher that the examiner is a tough lady ...

I hope the viva won't be shitty ...

First Post

Well, this is my first post.

I have a lab exam tomorrow, and I'm not that nervous. I don't usually feel nervous the day be fore an exam ...

I feel nervous on the day of the exam, especially an hour before it.
